Protocols

Thorp Institute protocols are based on the over 40,000 treatments John Thorp has personally supervised since the 1980s. The protocols he developed are based on clinical findings that have a 90% + success rate in the reduction of chronic pain. He was personally involved with Cedar Sinai, in Los Angeles and Loma Linda division, Castle Medical Center, located in Hawaii.

At Castle Medical center he had the opportunity to oversee over 40 patients per day, in their outpatient therapy centers. This personal, “hands on,” experience, gave him an opportunity to develop the finest clinical treatment protocols and cut recovery rates in half.

Cedar Sinai was so convinced of the viability of this treatment, that they sent, via prescriptions, to Thorp Institute, the following patients: Post Heart transplant, post Liver transplant, Carpal Tunnel, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Fibromyalgia, Tendonitis, Ulnar Nerve Compression, Nerve Entrapment, TMJ, C7 Radiculopathy, Ulnar Neuritis, Thigh Hemorrhage, Tendon Transfer (wrist pain) and a host of others. These were all problems that, Western Medicine was having little or no effect on.

We are committed to supplying our students with a solid foundation, based on Thorp’s eighteen years of personal experience. Let this experience be your teacher. It will leave you with the confidence to know you are capable of using the Acuscope and Myopulse to their utmost effectiveness.

As you know our therapies at Thorp Institute are based on personal experience. The Hippocratic oath states, “Heal Thyself Physician” and “To Do No Harm.” After 28 triathlons, Thorp is proud to say, “He has healed himself and has done no harm.” He will continue to set examples of self-healing through his own personal experiences and the thousands of treatments that he has given to others. Not only will you leave class with the knowledge of basic electrical cellular physiology and its importance to health and wellness but also you will begin to understand the importance of "Soulular," Physiology (TM).
