In November 2012, John Thorp founded Intelligent Bioenergetics, Inc. to distribute advanced intelligent bioenergetics devices internationally. Additionally, he established the Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine (TI) in 1995, where he serves as president. This company is a leading authority in microcurrent technologies. John, with over 30 years of experience in bioenergetics, has provided training in electrotherapy protocols globally and is renowned for his expertise in Intelligent Micro Current technologies and the Electro Equiscope instrument. His knowledge and skills make him a highly sought-after expert for both medical and veterinary practitioners.

John’s career originated in Hollywood as a stuntman during the 1970s and 1980s, where he appeared in shows like “Hawaii Five-O” and “The Six Million Dollar Man.” However, a severe injury in 1986 put his career at risk. Thanks to actor Lee Majors, John was introduced to a new therapy that led to an extraordinary recovery. He returned to his profession and began disseminating this technology to others. His treatments on both horses and humans demonstrated significant reductions in chronic pain and expedited recovery times.

John furthered his expertise by studying acupuncture at the Institute of Oriental Medicine and obtaining a license as a massage therapist in Hawaii. He joined Loma Linda’s Castle Medical Center in their “Work Well” rehabilitation center, where he developed successful treatment protocols, achieving a remarkable 90% success rate in chronic pain reduction. He managed treatments across multiple physical therapy centers, and eventually owned and operated three comprehensive medical clinics. In 1994, he opened the Balanced Body Center in Hawaii, garnering attention from notable individuals and media. He expanded his operations to California in 1995 with the opening of the Thorp Institute of Integrative Medicine.

In 2005, John’s work attracted the attention of the Sanoviv Medical Institute, leading to a seven-year collaboration where he managed treatment protocols and trained staff. In 2011, he trained Tyler Cerin, son of horse trainer Vladimir Cerin, in using the Electro Acuscope and Myopulse. This collaboration significantly contributed to the successful treatment of the racehorse “I’ll Have Another,” leading to its victories at the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, and an eventual $10 million sale.<./p>

In 2013, John introduced the advanced Electro-Equiscope technology through Intelligent Bioenergetics, establishing a global network of professionals using this technology. His companies, Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine Inc. and Intelligent Bioenergetics Inc., have partnered with the NHL Alumni Association since 2016. John’s collaboration with NFL players such as Branden Oliver and Darren Sproles has further validated the Equiscope’s effectiveness.

John’s global influence includes engagements with the Royal family of Dubai and the distinguished jockey Christophe Soumillon. He continues to disseminate his knowledge through testimonials and educational materials. John is married to Lisa Thorp, the COO of Intelligent Bioenergetics. They have two children, Eva and Jillian, and oversee the Thorp Institute of Integrated Medicine in Encinitas, California.
